RKZ Library Classroom 01 (Rosenkranz Hall) Capacity: 15

Description

The RKZ classroom is a multi-purpose space for classes, workshops, and group study. The room is designed to support a range of learning and study modes with flexible seating arrangements. It can also be used in a hybrid configuration allowing for remote broadcast while interacting with in-person attendees.

• 12 Windows PC workstations around the perimeter of the room
  • Data and statistical analysis software including R, Python, NVIVO, SAS, SPSS, and STATA
  • GIS software including ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro
  • Bibliographic management software – EndNote and Zotero
• Instructor podium with Windows PC workstation
  • Alternate laptop connection via HDMI or via USB-C, Micro HDMI, or Mini DisplayPort using room provided adapters
  • Alternate wireless connection via WolfVision through Apple Airplay, Android Chromecast, or Windows Miracast/vSolution
• Ceiling-mounted projector, with retractable screen in the front and digital display screen at the back of the classroom
• Instructor facing camera and audience facing camera
• Whiteboards mounted at the front of the room and an additional portable whiteboard
• Movable tables and chairs in center of the room, seating an additional 14

Yale affiliates with valid ID may reserve the classroom and Yale email addresses must be used to make a reservation.

By your use of the room, you agree to the following:

• No food can be brought into the space for consumption; only non-alcoholic drinks in covered, spill proof containers will be permitted.
• Maximum reservation of 2 hours per day; those interested in reserving the classroom for longer periods, including recurring reservations, should contact lauren.bove@yale.edu.
• Software cannot be installed on the classroom workstations.
• Technical support is limited; it is highly suggested instructors visit the classroom before teaching in it for the first time.
