The Beinecke Library reading room is available to those Yale students, faculty, and staff whose individual research requires consulting Beinecke materials and who have been approved to return to campus. While we unfortunately cannot welcome non-Yale researchers in our reading room at this time, we invite you to access materials through Beinecke's Digital Collections as well as by requesting reproductions.

Due to physical distancing measures we cannot provide patron access to shared spaces such as the lounge, so please plan your visit accordingly. We strongly encourage shorter visits over multiple days.

Patrons must make their appointment, register in Aeon, and place requests for materials through Orbis or Archives at Yale at least three business days prior to their visit.

Your reservation will require a CAS login and you must present a current Yale ID authorized to enter campus buildings to conduct onsite research.

Students who have questions about their campus access should check the Yale Hub. Other patrons with questions about campus access, should check their home department before making their research appointment.
