Seat Availability

Yale Divinity Library Special Collections reading room is open Monday to Friday (excluding Yale holidays) from 9:00am to 4:30pm by appointment only to current Yale students, staff, and faculty (including emeriti) who hold an active Yale ID. **

Before scheduling your seat reservation:

1. Request the materials you wish to see via request links in Archives at Yale, Orbis, or Quicksearch at least two business days before your scheduled visit. Most library material is shelved in off-site storage at the Yale Library Shelving Facility (LSF) and must be retrieved. You will receive an email notification when the material has been delivered and is ready for your use. 
2. Schedule your seat in the Divinity Library Special Collections reading room at least 24 hours in advance of the time you wish to visit via this form. The system will not accept reservations made less than 24 hours ahead.
