SUMMARY:*Online only* Gene Expression Analysis – from Transcription Factors to Master Regulators
DESCRIPTION:\n\nMake the most of your Yale library subscription for
 \n\nTRANSFAC® 2.0 and PROTEOME™
 \n\nhttps://library.medicine.yale.edu/find/title/transfac \n\nAlexander
 Kel\, Ph. D. and Volker Matys\, Dr. rer. nat.\, geneXplain GmbH \n\n
\n\nAfter an overview on the TRANSFAC® and PROTEOME™ databases by Dr.
Volker Matys with focus on transcription factors\, signaling pathways and
disease biomarkers\, Dr. Alexander Kel will demonstrate\, how the data in
those databases can be used by the included tools for analysis of
differential gene expression\, e.g. from RNA-seq or other omics data.
\n\nYou will learn\, how to:\n\n\n	find genes associated with a particular
disease. \n	map genes to pathways. \n	search for known binding factors (TF)
for genes. \n	use known TF-binding sites to predict TFBSs in regulatory
sequences. \n	analyze genes for tissue-specific transcription factors.
\n	conduct upstream analysis (integrated promoter-pathway analysis)
\n	explain differential gene expression by common master regulators.
\n\n\n\n\nRequirements: No previous Bioinformatics knowledge required. \n\n
