Information Session: Student Exhibit Opportunities

Information Session: Student Exhibit Opportunities Online

Join one of last years' student curators, Whitney Toutenhoofd (YC '25), and library staff to learn tips for creating a successful exhibit proposal, including a review of past exhibits for inspiration.

Audience: Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students interested in doing research with Yale Library's special collections, as well as any student in the Class of 2024 who is using library collections as part of their Senior Essay.

Yale Library offers students two opportunities to turn their research into a physical exhibit in Sterling Memorial Library:

Student Research at Yale Library

Two students will be selected to curate an exhibit based on their research using material from Yale Library collections. The selected students will receive mentoring and support to transform their completed research into a physical exhibit utilizing production tools, templates, technical expertise, and guidance from Yale Library’s exhibit professionals.

The selected students will have their exhibits on display in the Sterling Library Exhibition Corridor from October 2023 to May 2024.

Proposals due: November 28, 2022

Senior Exhibit Fellowship at Yale Library

One rising senior (Yale College 2024) will be selected to receive a $4,200 stipend to support a summer research fellowship, mentoring, and exhibit production support over the course of nine months to create and curate a professional-quality exhibit.
