Please join the DCS Team for our August Office Hour, which is devoted to reassociation!

What is reassociation? It's the act of connecting migrated parent objects in DCS to a Voyager or ArchivesSpace record. 

During this office hour, we'll provide an overview of reassociation, why we need to do it, how we plan on doing it, and what you need to know to get your unit involved in the process. We'll also provide a brief overview of how metadata works in DCS and a few examples of possible metadata structures that you can consider when deciding the best strategy for your own metadata and objects. 

The reassociation presentation will be recorded and shared via the Digital Collections Mailing List once the recording is available. There will be time for Q&A after the presentation. 

We want to emphasize that the DCS Team is on hand to help with the reassociation process--you are not alone! This office hour is just one of many chances to get a better understanding of the reassociation process for DCS objects migrated from FindIt.
