Locating Diverse Voices for Your Citations Online
In this forty-minute workshop we will focus on some of the shortcomings of our usual research tools, in terms of finding diverse voices for our citations, and how we can start to think outside the box in order to ensure inclusivity. We'll explore some of Yale's maybe less well-known database, and expand our search to books, archival records, and more. We'll conclude with a look to the future, and talk about how social media networks can be used to amplify historically marginalized voices.
The resources discussed in this workshop will primarily be drawn from the social sciences, but disciplines are welcome.
