EasyBib versus Zotero: Level Up Your References

EasyBib versus Zotero: Level Up Your References In-Person

You may already be familiar with citation generators like EasyBib, BibMe, Citation Machine, Bibliography.com, Cite This For Me...but are these powerful enough to support college-level research? Managing citations is an essential skill for all undergraduate students, and identifying the best tools can be challenging. Join us for a 30-minute online workshop to compare citation generators and citation management software like Zotero or Mendeley.

Learning Outcomes: Through this workshop, participants will be able to

  • Describe the differences between high school and college-level research demands
  • Define their citation management needs for a given project
  • Compare and choose from different citation management tools
  • Identify library resources to help manage their research

Previous experience with any of these tools is not required. Students should feel free to come with questions, to share any previous experience they may have with these tools, or to discuss challenges with organizing their research.

Audience: Primarily undergraduates, but all members of the Yale community are welcome to attend.

Registration: Registration required. You will receive a reminder email 1-hour before the event with the link to the Zoom room. If you register less than 1-hour before the event starts, email krainasarah.ostrach@yale.edu for the Zoom link.

Interested in a different workshop? Visit the library's workshop calendar. If you have a specific question or if workshop dates do not work with your schedule, reach out to your Personal Librarian or Subject Specialist Librarian for help.
