Text Analysis and Visualization in R In-Person

Text analytics is a discipline devoted to processing large volumes of text and extracting content, patterns, and meaningful insight that might have otherwise gone undetected.

The goal of this applied hands-on session is to give you a basic understanding of the underlying processes involved in text mining and analysis. This workshop will expose you to a standard workflow in text mining by introducing you to key concepts such as tokenization, sentiment analysis, and text visualization.

Prerequisites:

  • No prior programming background in R is assumed.
  • However, we do expect you to have both R and RStudio on your computer before the workshop.
