From Text to Data: Working with Tidy Text in R In-Person

Learn how to turn unstructured text—such as newspapers, articles, and social media posts—into data you can explore and analyze. This hands-on workshop emphasizes introductory text-analysis coding in R using tidyverse packages.

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • prepare and clean textual data for computational analysis
  • use R and tidyverse tools to explore and analyze text
  • try introductory text-analysis methods through guided coding exercises

Come build practical experience with computational text analysis and leave with a foundation for working with text as data.
