How to Cite and Report AI Use Online
Interested in writing about your research—scholarly, public, policy, and more—and working with AI? Join us to learn more about how to transparently describe your work!
This discipline-agnostic workshop is interested in helping you make better decisions around how to communicate your AI use, whether you are machine translating primary texts for a humanities dissertation, or using AI/machine learning to analyze health data in a journal article, or using AI for writing assistance. We’ll refer to guidelines from journals, professional associations, and disciplinary communities.
Participants will leave able to...
- Construct AI use statements to describe their use of AI tools in both conducting studies and writing, with reference to established recommendations and best practices
- Identify and use relevant data and software citation practices, professional body recommendations, and reporting guidelines relevant to using, citing, and reporting AI
- Recognize and mitigate potential threats to the accuracy of your citations
