🏆 MeSH Madness: Exploring PubMed's New MeSH Terms Online

This March Madness inspired class will introduce and familiarize participants with the latest additions to the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) used in PubMed. This class will focus on understanding the structure, significance, and usage of new MeSH terms released annually. By exploring these terms, attendees will enhance their ability to perform precise and efficient searches in PubMed and other medical literature databases, thereby improving their overall  literature searching abilities.

Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn the layout and organization of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) used in PubMed.
  2. Participants will explore the importance and impact of newly released MeSH terms on literature searches.
  3. Participants will gain skills to effectively incorporate the latest MeSH terms into their literature search strategies.
  4. Participants will improve their overall search efficiency and precision in PubMed and other medical literature databases using the new MeSH terms.
