Code with Clarity: AI-Powered Programming for Researchers In-Person

In this training session, we will introduce Yale's Clarity AI system and other AI-powered coding tools designed to enhance your programming workflow. Through live demonstrations and examples, you'll learn how to write effective prompts, troubleshoot code, and leverage AI assistants for R and Python programming. Perfect for researchers looking to code more efficiently and confidently.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Craft effective prompts to get better coding assistance from AI tools
  • Use Yale's Clarity system to write R and Python code
  • Implement AI coding assistants like GitHub Co-Pilot
  • Apply best practices for AI-assisted programming in research contexts
