Reading Strategies for Writing Papers Online
Skip, skim, or read: most scholars don’t read every word, but which words do you choose? Learn strategies - that you can begin in the early research process - to efficiently select, read, and analyze a LOT of scholarly articles to prepare for a research paper.
Attendees will learn:
- Lateral reading – to make decisions about which articles to save for later
- Selective reading (aka skimming) – to identify the most important sections of a scholarly article
- Active reading – to ensure you maximize your time by reading with purpose
Audience: Undergraduate and graduate students in all disciplines.
