Lit searching for World Tuberculosis Day Online
On March 24, 1882, Koch announced the discovery of the bacterium M. tuberculosis. On March 24, 2025, it's World Tuberculosis Day. Let's celebrate by exploring tuberculosis literature in three bibliographic databases: PubMed, OpenAlex, and Lens.
By the end of this 30-minute training, participants will be able to:
- Use PubMed field tags [majr] or [ti] to do specific searches for tuberculosis literature
- Use PubMed field tags [mh] or [tw] to do sensitive searches for tuberculosis literature
- Find tuberculosis literature by authors based in LMICs (via OpenAlex)
- Identify important journals and funders for tuberculosis literature (via Lens)
