Bioinformatics Thursdays: Intro to R for Bioinformatics In-Person

Summary:
This is an introduction to R designed for participants with no programming experience. We will start with some basic information about R syntax, the RStudio interface (download from here before the workshop), and move through basic data types and format, how and why create R objects, deal with functions, arguments, packages, and finally the structure of data frames, manipulate rows and columns, how to import .csv files.
This workshop is designed for: biomedical researchers with none to minimal knowledge of command language or R programming.
You will learn how to:
- Basic data format and type in R
- Base R functions
- Basic data manipulation and inspection
- Install R package such as Readr
- Import .csv files using function read.csv()

Target audience: These classes are meant to novices in coding with R command language.
Registrations - open to all interested. However, seating will be on “first come, first served” basis.
