Your research is important and stands on centuries of modern scientific endeavors. Don't be daunted by conducting your literature review in the Sciences any longer!

This workshop will cover: how to thoroughly find and review your sources, when it is appropriate to use AI tools versus traditional databases, and advanced search techniques in library databases.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • identify how background research fits into review writing in the Sciences,
  • use the most appropriate tool for your need
  • construct advanced search techniques
  • save and organize your research

Audience: Graduate students in the Sciences; undergraduate students majoring in the Sciences are also welcome to attend.

Registration: Required for access to the Zoom room. You will also receive a reminder email 1-hour before the event.

Bonus: Before attending this workshop on writing a literature review, attend the Poorvu Center's Graduate Writing Lab's "Writing a Prospectus in STEM: Student Panel" workshop on September 26th to build a strong foundation in prospectus writing.
