Discovering Data in PubMed: Strategies for Successful Searches Online

One of the best places to find data is within scientific literature. This is where your peers write about, cite, and describe results based on data, whether it's public secondary data or primary datasets the authors have generated. In this training, we'll show you how to harness the power of PubMed to find relevant data for your research.

In this training, participants will learn how to:

  • Use PubMed's basic building blocks to construct a dataset search in PubMed
  • Understand how the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy affects how PubMed indexes and displays datasets and data-intensive publications
  • Improve use and citation of data for research
