What does it mean to publish 'open access'? In-Person

Registration is required.

International Open Access Week is October 23 - 29, 2023! ‘Open access’ (OA) means that your research is published or shared in a way that makes it free to read by anyone (anyone with a computer and internet access, that is). OA is a movement that has gained momentum over time, empowering authors and academic institutions to partner with open-access journals and disseminate scholarly works to the masses, rather than leaving commercial publishers to be the gatekeepers of information.

Join librarian, Kayla Del Biondo, to learn about open-access terminology, how to use web tools that can help you find information about OA journals, and more!
