Academic Strategies: Finding Data Online and at Yale Library In-Person
Data are collected by many different governmental and nongovernmental institutions and researchers. How can you find the type of data you need for your research? This workshop will cover data sources such as the US Census, government data repositories, ICPSR, NGOs and IGOS, and others. Attendees will learn how to identify where relevant data can be found, how to search the library catalog for datasets, and what data may exist freely online.
See the full list of workshops in the Academic Strategies series here.
Any student who participates in at least 3 library workshops during the Fall 2023 semester will be eligible for a prize. Learn more about the Workshop Incentive Program.
