Music Library Tours and Workshops In-Person
The Irving S. Gilmore Music Library is one of the world's most important music libraries, with a wealth of books, scores, recordings, periodicals, and videos for research and study, as well as rare and unique materials. Come to see our study spaces and collection areas, learn about the services we offer, and meet our staff. In the workshop portion you will learn strategies for searching for the best scores and recordings, how to find resources we have digitized, and online resources for listening, viewing, and research. You will also learn about our special collections relating to music. These include rare books, scores, and periodicals, music archives and manuscripts, oral history interviews with composers and musicians, and historical sound recordings. A special item will be on hand for you to look at.
