Network analysis of omics data with Cytoscape

Network analysis of omics data with Cytoscape In-Person

Cytoscape is an open source platform for analysis and visualization of networked data, molecular interaction networks, biological pathways. It also allows integrating these networks with annotations, gene expression profiles and other types of data. In addition to Cytoscape’s core functionalities, many apps are available for different data analysis, integration, and visualization. In this session we will cover how to:

-getting started with Cytoscape

-use the basic functionalities

-creating networks from file, importing networks from public databases

-merging networks, grouping nodes

-visualizing expression (e.g. transcriptomics, proteomics) data on networks

-finding and downloading applications

-using MetScape for visualization and interpretation of metabolic and expression profiling data

Download and install Cytoscape 3.7.1 from here: https://cytoscape.org/download.html
