"The Transforming Roles of Librarians and Archivists" In-Person
In an effort to build awareness of our profession among each other and the Yale community, this panel forum will feature six librarians who perform various roles in the YUL system, including Christopher Anderson (Special Collections Librarian and Curator of the Day Missions Collection for the Divinity library), Mar Gonzalez Palacios (Associate Director, Arts Library Special Collections for HaasArts Library), Robin Dougherty (Librarian for Middle East Studies, Near East Collection), Yuksel Serindag (Metadata Librarian - Rare and Special Collections for Lillian Goldman Law Library), Julie Linden (Director of Collection Development for Collections, Preservation and Digital Scholarship), and Anne Rhodes (Research Archivist, Oral History of American Music for the Music Library).
The panelists will share their stories on why they became a librarian or archivist, why they chose their specific libraries and roles, lessons learned from previous library jobs, and what do they do in their current positions. Participants are welcomed to come with their own questions for the panelist.
