Data — You Can't Find It. Now What? In-Person

It's no secret that things happen to publicly available data. Web sites go down, government administrations change or completely reorganize their content, and figuring out what to do next can be daunting.

This short, 30-minute workshop (followed by 15 minutes of optional Q&A) will include practical strategies for assessing the presence of data that you need, but can no longer locate, with an emphasis on US federal government data. It will be held in person, and we are considering a Zoom option if there is inclement weather.

PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE DUE TO THE CSSSI CLOSURE.

The workshop is part of the offerings around campus for Endangered Data Week, held annually in the last week of February on campuses and at cultural institutions around the world.
