A Halloween Treat: Science News in 30 Minutes In-Person
There's something strange in your social feed — it's an article about a cool science story, but how do you get to the information if the newspaper is asking you to pay to see it, and how do you know if what you're looking at is high-quality?
This 30-minute workshop will guide you through several platforms we have to read science news, from PressReader to NexisUni to Articles+. You will learn where you can set up article and new publication alerts; how to stay up-to-date with popular articles of interest to you; and some brief guidance on establishing news credibility.
Halloween candy will be available to attendees. The 17 Hillhouse Room 07 classroom is on the lower level of the 17 Hillhouse building, easily accessed via elevator or stairs.
