A Year with the ACRL Framework: Scholarship as Conversation In-Person

The Reference, Instruction, and Outreach committee is very pleased to invite you to the first in a series of discussions and events related to the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education: Scholarship as Conversation.

The discussion will be lead by Kelly Blanchat on Thursday, December 14 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in Bass L01A/B. Participants are welcome to bring with them lunch. Registration is required, and a waitlist will be available. In advance of the discussion, participants will be provided with optional readings.

In general, these discussions are opportunities for YUL librarians and archivists to discuss and reflect on the ACRL Framework and how it may apply to their teaching. The objectives are:

  • Participants in “A Year with the ACRL Framework” will become familiar with the language of the ACRL Framework.
  • Participants will be able to identify ways to incorporate the frames into future teaching.
  • Participants will be able to articulate the frames to others outside the profession.
