NGS Data Analysis in Partek® Software: Onsite Workshop In-Person

Morning Session (Overview, Hands On: Analysis on RNA-Seq Data): 9:30AM – 12:00PM

Free access to Partek Flow is provided by the Yale Medical Library. Register for an account here:

Overview of Partek software, followed by a hands-on tutorial
session to gain practical experience with Partek Flow through the
analysis of a sample RNA-Seq data set.

  • Import data (fastq, bam, text format)
  •  Perform QA/AC (Pre-alignment QA/AC, Post-alignment QA/QC)
  • Trim bases
  • Alignment
  • Gene/transcript abundance estimate (E/M)
  •  Differential expression detection (GSA, ANOVA)
  • Filter gene list
  • GO Enrichment Analysis
  • Visualization

*Refreshment will be provided in the morning session.

Demo of Single-Cell RNA-Seq Data Analysis:1:00 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Import data, QA/QC, Filtering cells and features, Visualization
with t-SNE, K-means clustering, Classifying cells

Demo of DNA-Seq Data Analysis:
Import bam files, Variant detection, Variant annotation, Variant
report and visualization

Q&A and Advanced Session: 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m
After the Demos, there will be an open session for small groups or
one-on-one discussions about advanced analysis with Partek
software packages.
