Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) and HGMD on-site training workshop In-Person

Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) is a powerful analysis and search tool that uncovers the significance of ‘omics data and identifies new targets or candidate biomarkers within the context of biological systems. If you have gene (including RNAseq), protein and metabolic expression data, you should be using IPA to guide you with the biological interpretation of your data

In this workshop you will learn how to:

• Identify likely pathways that are expressed

• Look for hidden possible causal connections and mechanisms

• Find causal regulators and their directional effect on genes functions and diseases

• Visualize and identify trends across multi-omics data including variant gain or loss of function on a network or pathway

Human Genome Mutation Database (HGMD) is a unique resource providing comprehensive data on human inherited disease mutations, it is widely used in human genetics research, diagnostics, and personal genomics applications.

The following topics will be covered in this hands-on workshop:

• Look up mutation information for a gene of interest
• Filter a genes mutation information by an associated disease
• Look up mutation information for a disease of interest
• Browse for mutations by type of mutation (missense, nonsense, indel, etc)
• Perform advanced searches to identify mutations by criteria such as nucleotide and
amino acid sequence context, affected genomic features, and more
