Love Your Data Week: Cushing Tumor Registry Tour In-Person
Visitors to the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library can see brain and tumor samples from the early twentieth century, along with photographs and information about the patients who donated their samples to Dr. Cushing. This collection is cool, spooky... and still used for research today! Come tour the collection with Cushing Center Coordinator Terry Dagradi and Research and Education Librarian Kate Nyhan. You'll hear the incredibly interesting story of how this collection came to be, how the samples and metadata survived in different formats and locations, and how researchers are using these historical materials to answer cutting-edge research questions.
Meet in the lobby of the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at noon, or head downstairs to the Cushing Center if you want to join us later.
