Practical Research Data Management In-Person
- “That variable named Kate12, do you remember what it is?”
- “Which file do we want: Kate_final_FINAL or Kate_final_really?”
- “Do we still have a copy of that software we were using in 2013?”
Planning how you’ll manage your research data will save you time and trouble. Data management plans are required by many funding agencies, and even small projects will run more smoothly if you think through some data management issues in advance. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the research data lifecycle and practical approaches to data management that you can apply in your own work. Everyone from PIs to peons will leave this workshop with a checklist of practical next steps in data management.
