Intro to GIS: Mapping with ArcGIS In-Person
This workshop will introduce basic concepts of geographic information systems (GIS), including projection and coordinate systems, types of and best practices to manage spatial data. It will also include hands-on training on how to start a GIS project using Esri’s ArcGIS for Desktop, transforming tabular into spatial data, creating color-coded maps, and conducting basic spatial analysis to help you start with your research.
