The Cushing/Whitney Medical Library's Betsey Cushing Whitney Group Study Center includes three rooms that can be self-booked by library users for group study or meetings. (Campus location: 333 Cedar Street, L-Wing of the Sterling Hall of Medicine). As of February 2014 we've added two additional temporary rooms to meet the demands of students for group study space.
You may book a room for a maximum of FOUR consecutive hours with a limit of EIGHT hours per day per person for these rooms. You may reserve a room up to 8 weeks in advance.
The Medical Library also has several conference rooms on the main level that can be booked through staff at the Circulation Desk. The Cushing Center Conference Room can also be booked in advance though special restrictions apply.
Please note that these rooms are not for individual study. Food is not allowed in any of the rooms.
For details on the rooms, hover over the "I" button to the right of the room number.
- Group study rooms are meant for use by two or more students, faculty or staff including staff from Yale-New Haven Hospital.
- Someone from your group must arrive within ten minutes of the reservation start time, or the room will be released for use.
- You must use a valid email to reserve the room (Yale.edu or YNHH.org preferred)
